My work is a personal response to the landscape around me, real or imagined, and the places I visit. In the past my tapestries tended to be figurative, using simplified shapes, lines and pattern; more recently I have been interested in developing a more abstract approach – simplifying and paring down even more in order to explore relationships of shape, line and colour.
