She lectured in Fashion, Textiles and Education and is now retired.
Initially trained in Fashion, Dor began tapestry weaving 25 years ago, taught and inspired by Elda Abramson.
A textile tour of India influenced her work and the influence remains strong to this day.
Texture features strongly, supplemented by tassels, mirrors and beads of all shapes and sizes.
The land and seascape of Pembrokeshire, where she lived for many years, continues to impact on her stylized and evocative landscapes.
She continues to weave and exhibit widely and is currently working on a series of tapestries using the theme of ornamental lakes and ponds.
