I have been interested in textiles for ever, dabbling in knitting, crotchet, sewing, spinning, and felting but after being given several looms I had to try weaving.
I completed a Diploma of Tapestry last year and now can’t wait to get to my loom each day. I find weaving both absorbing and challenging translating fibre into rich textural images; it is slow but satisfying work. I am keen to develop the many ideas I have, at present being inspired by the Australian environment, but I am also very interested in myths and legends from around the world.
