Following a varied career Victoria decided to explore textile art as a profession and studied as a mature student at Huddersfield University graduating in 2005 with an honours degree in Textile Crafts.
Victoria’s work emphasises the textural qualities of tapestry weaving either visually or literally. She often combines tapestry weaving with other media including handmade paper and is currently establishing links with local ceramicist Jonathan Smith with a view to developing pieces together.
Weekend Workshops
Vicky’s studio is situated on Bromyard Downs overlooking the small country town of Bromyard. The maximum number of people at workshops is six. These workshops are therefore ideal for beginners.
Creative workshops are also facilitated by an initial walk on the downs to draw and gather stimulatory material. |
