BRITISH TAPESTRY GROUP - OPEN STUDIO TRAIL The following is a list of British Tapestry Group members studios for you to visit. Please note, not all our members are professional weavers – however, they have kindly agreed to open their studios to visitors. We hope you have fun and enjoy your visits. Joan Baxter To Contact: Directions: Travelling North on the A9, take the left turning signposted DOLL, approximately 1 mile south of Brora. Follow the single track road inland for approx 1.5miles. Ford House is the last property on the left before the ford and footbridge over the River Brora. Look out for the sign on the gatepost. Opening Times: Open by appointment throughout the year

Go past 1st slip road (half mile) on your left sign posted Tiverton parkway railway station, carry on till the next running (approx 7 miles) and take this turning on the left marked Tiverton. Turn left at top of the slip road. At the roundabout (landmark near this roundabout is a Mac Donalds!) take 3rd exit to lea Road after 100yds take 1st left turn into Beech Road. Then take 1st right turn into Romans way which automatically flows into Hawthorne Road. Park and then enter a green door and No 27 is up the stairs (yellow door). By bus (ring Jenny first as some buses stop outside her flat/studio). From Exester coach station take ‘stagecoach 155’ from stand (5 ish) to Tiverton. Arrives Tiverton hus station (some huses will carry on to Cowley moor/Lea road, at other times of day you need another bus from stand 4 at Tiverton bus station No 384 for ‘Cowley Moor’. Ask driver to drop you off in Beech Road after the ‘onestop shop’. By bus from Taunton/Wellington take the ‘First’ No 02A and ask driver to drop you off at Horston Garage. Then it’s a 15 min walk. By train, get off at Tiverton Parkway and catch bus No 1 ‘stagecoach’ to Tiverton, ask driver to drop you off at ‘Horston Garage’. It is then a 15 minutes walk. See below: By Foot! (15 min walk from Horston Garage): At Horston garage, opposite the bus stop, is a footpath to your right, that rises and goes over the main road, take this path over ‘Heathcoat Way’, then turn right and follow the path that follows the main road up until the roundabout, the path automatically veers to your left and yuou will find yourself in Beech Road. Cross the road and there is a path between the houses on your left. Take this short cut! – you will see a green door marked 27 and 29 go upstairs (yellow door No 27). Joyce Coulton To Contact: Directions: ‘OK studios are situated less than 2 miles from Junction 27 on the M6. Follow signs for Standish. Go through first set of lights. At next lights (Somerfield/Coop on left, Spar on right) turn right onto Main Street. In 50yds, turn left onto Cross Street. This is a very short, one-way street with a limited number of free 2hr parking spaces. Space can also usually be found after continuing and turning right into Church Street – free and no time limit. Opening Times: Visitors welcome at any time throughout the year – however please ring first. ‘OK Studios’ is an artist led group and we do have annual ‘Open Studios’. We have only just moved to new premises so this year’s event has yet to be arranged.
