An opportunity to see a collection of tapestry weavings inspired by Scottish land & seascapes and the myriad of colours and hues that are around us. Other inspirations come from places and cultures seen in travels across Europe, Australia and Syria. Many of the fibres used are dyed with mushrooms and other natural dyes. There are also some hand-spun silks, linens and wool yarn.

The dye fungi produce a range rich reds & purples to oranges and yellows;golds & browns to elusive blues and usually dye wool the best. Tapestry Weaving is a very creative medium, the hangings are created on a vertical warp - it is indeed a slow art form!
