The exhibition, Woven Memories of Ceredigion Shipwrecks, came about after being asked to weave work for a sculpture gallery at MOMA Machynlleth in 2024. The listed building status of the space meant that I couldn’t hang anything on the walls. I only had one high beam and lighting tracks if, I was lucky. I had to think creatively and come up with something engaging.

I live within 100 yards of the sea in a village called Aberarth, near Aberaeron on the Ceredigion coast. In the 1800s it was an important centre for ship building. ...
