Picking up the Thread: The Past, Present and Future of Tapestry is the BTG's 20th Anniversary exhibition. Starting at Gracefield Arts Centre in Dumfries in August 2025, it moves to the Dovecot Studios, Edinburgh in October 2025, then onto Plymouth and London in 2026.

The catalogue is an A4, full colour, 96 page publication, including images of all work in the exhibition, statements from the artists and an introduction from the BTG chair, Paulette Furnival. There is also an article about Mary Farmer, whose work is included at Dovecot and in London, and details of the jurors, Joan Baxter, Fiona Hutchison and Caron Penney, who each have work included in the exhibition.
