I am a tapestry weaver and dyer, and love to create tapestries inspired by special places - I want to capture the serenity and beauty of nature and landscapes and infuse the emotions they evoke into my weavings. 

Hand-dying my own yarns gives me a wonderful breadth of hues for each piece and creates the delicious tonal variations that really help the tapestries come alive. I love to include lots of texture with lots of different types of yarn, and by using knotting over the strings to create foliage and rocks as I weave. For some smaller pieces I also embroider little details such as French knots for flowers and little windows and doors.

It is always a privilege doing commissions of other people’s most special places, and spreading the tapestry love by holding workshops and taking my looms to various shows and exhibitions…
