I make sculptures and wall hangings that combine tapestry weaving with metal sculpture and wire work.  Every piece is entirely handmade by me.  The juxtaposition of metal and yarn represents the different facets of a person’s identity.  We are all complex, surprising and continually developing through our life experiences and interactions with others over time and in social spaces. No one fully fits a stereotype, we all have sides of ourselves which may seem contradictory, so to reflect this, I play with the roles of the metal and yarn and create objects in which the metal and yarn are each beautiful on their own but rely on each other to make the unique whole.
