One Day Tapestry Weaving workshops at Farfield Mill, Sedbergh

£65 per day plus £5 materials

A chance to explore tapestry weaving, taking our inspiration from around the Mill and the exhibitions in the galleries, exploring the changing seasons and a range of techniques. We will look at the local colours and textures as well as the views, and then create our own small tapestries, or we can develop projects you are already working on. Suitable for beginners and improvers. All equipment provided, or bring your own.

West Dean Foundation Diploma in Tapestry Weaving

The West Dean College Foundation Diploma in Tapestry Weaving is a two year, part-time course which offers tapestry weavers a broad insight into the technical and creative techniques of tapestry weaving, necessary for developing skills and building your own creative language.

The course is aimed at weavers who have completed a beginners’ course at West Dean or elsewhere, and are looking to commit to an extended and intensive programme of study.
