SINERGIA

VALDIVIA
I create tapestries inspired by Earth, women, goddesses, intersectional feminism, corn, plants, ancestral wisdom, and my own experience of femininity. My work draws on ancient feminine iconography—from the Valdivia figurines of Ecuador to the Snake Goddess of Crete, Isis, and Lilith—to question women’s roles in contemporary society and explore what these symbols can awaken within us.
Through weaving, I seek to revive ancestral memory, when women held spiritual and political power, and to imagine a world where all women—regardless of skin colour, sexuality, ethnicity, or class—can live fully. By reweaving these symbols into contemporary art, I aim to awaken goddess energy in the viewer and contribute to more equal, loving, and inclusive societies.
