Since 1981 I have been weaving tapestries & participating in exhibitions.

During this time, I have woven a lot of tapestries - sometimes it seems like I am producing a woven visual diary as my subject matter comes from life around me. Whether it be places I have travelled to, in Australia & overseas, my garden, items in the different shops I worked in, or dogs & their people… lately my subject matter has been objects, mostly domestic. 

During lockdown in 2020 I reviewed old photos/images and ideas, then started weaving still life objects ie; earthenware pots, bottles, jugs etc. Together with some older tapestries I had woven there was enough work for a solo exhibition, but with lockdowns frequently happening here the show has been postponed till later in the year.

As tapestry takes a long time I choose carefully before I commit, I tend to weave the images that nag at me & explore subjects by weaving in series.
